DOUBLE -KNITTING CLASS 1
(One 3-Hr session, $55) TBA
Limit: six people. Learn to knit double-knitting motifs. Requirements: two contrasting colors of worsted or DK-weight yarn and proper size of circular needle (16" is fine). Should be comfortable with color work concepts. Description: Double-knitting is the unique technique of using two colors of yarn to make a fabric with two "right" sides and opposite coloring on either side. In this class, we'll learn a new cast-on, a few rows of two-color reversible stockinette, then launch into a color-changed motif. At the end of the class, you should be comfortable with the double-knitting technique and be ready to integrate it into your own patterns.

DOUBLE-KNITTING CLASS 2
(Two 3-Hr session, $85)
Sunday TBA
Limit: six people. Let's make a Double-knit hat using the techniques we learned in class one . Requirements: two contrasting colors of worsted or DK-weight yarn and proper size of circular needle (16" for a hat). Should be comfortable with color work concepts. Previous experience in double-knitting is suggested but not required. Description: Double-knitting in the round is a completely different technique, both easier and quicker than flat double-knitting -- at least until you get to the decreases! In the first half of the class, you'll choose a motif and learn a circular double-knit cast-on. You'll then work independently on your own motif in the round. By the end of the class, you'll be well on your way and you'll work on your own until the next class. In the second class, you'll be at the point in your hat where the decreases will begin. You'll plan and learn the double-knit decrease, and by the end of the class, you'll hopefully be the proud owner of a reversible hat!
